The cupcake shop fad has crumbled.  Crumbs Bake Shop (the only publicly traded cupcake shop chain) will file for bankruptcy.

Bloomberg has a very interesting profile of the Artist Pension Trust.  It seems hard to believe that this will be a sustainable model long term, but it does make one ponder how artists can better capture the value they create.  This system has a better chance of working than Social Security/Medicare as they are structured today.
